Bismuth Brass Ring - size 7
This ring features the fascinating element, bismuth. Set in brass, this mineral has a nice gradient of color, going from pink, yellow, green to blue. It measures 15mm x 25mm. This ring is a size 7. I do not resize my rings, however, I do have a couple of these in my shop that vary in ring size and stone size.
Bismuth is a fragile mineral. Please read my policy page for care instructions.
Peru is one of the world's major sources for this native element. Natural crystals of bismuth are extremely rare. This particular piece was grown in a laboratory in Germany. This mineral is actually classified as a semi-precious, semi-metal. Scarce as silver and heavier than lead, one cubic foot of bismuth would weigh over 600 lbs. It is used in both medicine and cosmetics as well as inks, paints and free-machining steels. Bismuth crystals may have many uses but they must be appreciated for their natural and colorful beauty as well. They are quite fascinating in the way that they've grown. Through a rainbow spectrum of color, you will see formations resembling steps of a staircase or a miniature, Mayan pyramid.
History and Metaphysical Properties:
Bismuth relieves symptoms of isolation, both spiritually and emotionally. As a stone of transformation, it calms disorder and helps push changes in the right direction with a physical vitality, connecting to “all that is”. Energy is transformed from the crown chakra to the base chakra, which is something other stones don’t do. It can be used on all chakras. As a healing crystal it lessens catatonic states and has been used to diminish fevers.
