Apophyllite Crystal Necklace

This necklace features a cluster of apophyllite crystals. The stone is suspended by sterling silver wire with a twisted texture. The pendant's dimensions are 23mm x 23mm and 35mm in length which includes the silver bail. This unique pendant slides around a sterling silver, wheat chain with a length of 18” adjustable up to 20”.

Apophyllite: The name apophyllite refers to a specific group of phyllosilicates, a class of minerals that also includes the micas. These minerals are typically found as secondary minerals in holes in basalt or other igneous rocks. Apophyllites are popular as collector's minerals due to a combination of factors, including their abundance, color variety, and well-defined crystals. Naturally forming pyramidal structures, they refract light in obvious rainbows, and can form "natural pyramids" when subjected to rock tumbling.
