Herkimer Diamond Smokey Druzy Necklace
This necklace features a herkimer diamond, smokey quartz druzy. Typically, the Herkimer druzies are mined from a specific area in Fulton county of New York and they are found in the layer beneath the pockets that the larger crystals are mined. Many of the mines don't dig deep enough to this layer so it's not easy to get these wonderful druzies. I also seek out the pieces that have a nice contrast of clear Herkimer crystals along with smokey crystals that make up the rest of its druzy surface. This particular piece is a superb example of such a specimen. It's suspended by 14 kt. gold filled wire with a twisted texture. The top of this unique druzy is accented with a cubic zirconia charm. The pendant measures 17mm in width and 30mm in length, which includes the gold bail. The pendant slides around a gold vermeil, sterling silver, two toned, satellite chain with a length of 16" adjustable up to 18". A smokey quartz bead accents the end of the extension chain.
