Labradorite Aquamarine Oxidized Silver Necklace

This necklace displays a labradorite stone in a teardrop cut, revealing intense flashes of blue. Accented by Bali silver beads, It hangs from an exquisite, aquamarine gem in an emerald cut that possesses a mossy, slate blue color. The labradorite stone measures 11mm x 25mm and the aquamarine jewel measures 6mm x 8mm. The pendant measures 11mm in width, 49mm in length and slides around an oxidized, sterling silver, diamond cut, rope chain with a length of 18" adjustable up to 20". Labradorite beads accent the end of the extension chain.

This form of feldspar was first discovered in Labrador, Canada, by Moravian missionaries in 1770. Today most labradorite is mined in Madagascar but a lower quality can also be found in the high peaks of the Adirondacks of New York.
