Peruvian Opal Teardrop Leather Necklace
This necklace features a Peruvian opal in a teardrop cut. Dive into its blue, green hue. The variations of this beautiful stone make each one unique. This piece reminds me of an underwater scene. This opal is accented with a coil of twisted wire in sterling silver. The pendant measures 25mm in width and 35mm in length. It hangs from a leather cord for a casual design. The necklace is finished with a sterling silcer clasp. The length of the necklace is 17" adjustable up to 19". A turquoise bead accents the end of the extension chain.
Peruvian opal is relatively rare and is only found in the Andes mountains near San Patricio, Peru. Its high-water content makes it delicate and sensitive to heat. I find that these stones will sweat with high humidity, which means they can dry out easily in a dry climate. This makes them susceptible to cracking or breaking if they dry out too much. Like most opals, a little extra care is required to maintain their beauty.
Metaphysically, it takes the tension out of communication and helps ideas flow freely. It softens the impact of stress from the outside world and can help one to release the trauma of old wounds. It facilitates facing the future with a tranquil healing nature, helps quiet the mind and can aid sleep. Sleeping with a Peruvian opal is believed to cure subconscious pain from your past.
