Member of the corundum family, Sapphire is mined in Africa, India, USA and Southeast Asia and is found in a variety of colors.  Ancient Persians believed that Earth rested on a giant sapphire and its reflection was the reason for the sky’s blue tone. It’s also believed to bring prosperity and the fulfillment of one's dreams. Helps with ailments of the eye and is a booster for the immune system.
