Vesuvianite Purple Crystal Druzy Pendant with peridot, amethyst and Herkimer diamond

$ 85.00
This piece features an extraordinary specimen of vesuvianite. Also known as Idocrase, this fascinating mineral was originally found on the volcano, Mt Vesuvius in Italy, hence one of the names. The other name, idocrase, is from the greek and means mixed form, an allusion to its crystals showing a mixture of other mineral forms. Vesuvianite's tetragonal crystal formation is uncommon and quite beautiful. This particular cluster of vesuvianite crystals came from Quebec. Vesuvianite has gone up a lot in price lately and it's rare to find in purple. This unique mineral is decoratively wrapped with sterling silver wire with diamond cut, faceting to create a touch of sparkle. Clustered at the top of the pendant are cut gems of peridot, amethyst and Herkimer diamonds. This vesuvianite pendant has a width of 20mm and a length of 30mm, which includes the silver bail. In this listing you may choose to purchase the pendant only or add the chain shown in the pictures. This is a sterling silver, rope chain with a length is 16" adjustable up to 18". Swarovski crystals accent the end of the extension chain.

Metaphysical Properties:
Vesuvianite encourages enthusiasm for life and imparts the courage to change. It's also said to release negative attachments and hidden fears. Crystal healers use vesuvianite to strengthen tooth enamel and to restore the sense of smell. It also assists in assimilating nutrients from food.
