History and Metaphysical Properties:
Amethyst:
This form of quartz is the February birthstone. It is mainly found in Brazil, Bolivia, Uruguay, and Zambia. Its purple color comes from irradiation, which is an ionizing radiation process that changes the atomic structure of the crystal lattice. Metaphysically, Amethyst enhances mental and emotional stability, while also being a purifier. This helps clear negative energies such as addictive behaviors, and maladaptive emotional patterns. It can bring understanding to death and rebirth by healing one’s grief. And is known to be beneficial when dealing with money and legal issues.
Labradorite:
This form of feldspar was first discovered in Labrador, Canada, by Moravian missionaries in 1770. Today most labradorite is mined in Madagascar but a lower quality can also be found in the high peaks of the Adirondacks of New York. Metaphysically, it provides understanding to the destiny one has chosen. It also helps enhance originality, precision, patience and abilities of clairvoyance and telepathy. In the workplace it brings out the best in people and encourages courtesy and full attention to the customer.Labradorite tempers the negative side of our personality. It assists in reducing anti-social, reckless or impulsive behavior in children, teenagers and adults who are easily led into trouble by others, and may aid in detoxifying the effects of tobacco, alcohol, and to a lesser degree, hard drugs.
Charoite:
This unique stone was first discovered in Yakutia, Russia in the 1940s but didn't become available on the global market until the 70s. Yakutia, now the Sakha Republic, is the only place where this stone is mined, therefore supply will run out with its growing popularity. Charoite is known as the "stone of transformation and spiritual growth". Helps one to release old fears and recall past lives by moving one forward through the changes of life.
