Aragonite Crystal Gold Chain Necklace

This interesting crystal formation is typical of the mineral Aragonite. This mineral is a polymorph of calcite, which means that it has the same chemistry as calcite but with a much different structure. Mined in Morocco, this crystal sits in a prong setting of raw brass. The pendant measures 22mm x 40mm and is suspended between two paper clip chains with diamond cut faceting, which creates a lot of sparkle and shine. It's a gold vermeil chain (gold plating over sterling silver) with a length of 18" adjustable up to 20". The chain is finished with a gold filled extension chain and spring ring clasp and beads of red aventurine.
