Bismuth is a semi-precious metal that has a hardness of 2 and is the 83rd element on the periodic table. Its iridescent color is produced by interference of light within the oxide film on the surface. Bismuth is used commercially in various products, such as paints, cosmetics, and pepto bismol. It can even be used as a replacement for lead when used as alloys.
Metaphysically, bismuth relieves symptoms of isolation, both spiritually and emotionally. It can help calm disorder and push change in the right direction. As a healing crystal it lessens catatonic states and diminishes fevers.
