Apophyllite Crystal Cluster Blue Zircon Necklace
This necklace features a cluster of apophyllite crystals. The stone is suspended by sterling silver wire with a twisted texture. A nugget of blue zircon accents the top of this crystal cluster. The pendant measures 15mm x 22mm and 32mm in length, which includes the silver bail. In this listing you can choose to buy the pendant alone or with the chain shown. The pendant slides around a sterling silver, rope chain with a length of 18” adjustable up to 20”. A quartz bead accents the end of the extension chain.
Apophyllite: The name apophyllite refers to a specific group of phyllosilicates, a class of minerals that also includes the micas. These minerals are typically found as secondary minerals in holes in basalt or other igneous rocks. Apophyllites are popular as collector's minerals due to a combination of factors, including their abundance, color variety, and well-defined crystals. Naturally forming pyramidal structures, they refract light in obvious rainbows, and can form "natural pyramids" when subjected to rock tumbling.
