Dendritic Quartz Oxidized Silver Necklace

This necklace displays dendritic quartz at its best. This high quality, cut stone is a variety of quartz which is valued for its inclusions. Quartz is host to maganese, which crystalizes inside the stone much like ice or frost does on a window. It creates branch, like patterns with gradients of color that are unique to each stone. This unique beauty is suspended by sterling silver wire which was then oxidized to bring out its rope like texture. The pendant measures 1" in width and 1 1/4" in length, which includes the silver bail. The pendant slides around an oxidized, sterling silver, wheat chain with a length of 18" adjustable up to 20".  A bead of white moonstone accents the end of the extension chain.
