Appaloosa Stone Pendant

This pendant displays a unique stone called Appaloosa stone. Though commonly referred to as Wild Horse Jasper and White Turquoise, this stone is neither a jasper nor a turquoise. Appaloosa Stone is a white magnesite with brown modeling, and some hematite in its composition. It was discovered in the mid-90s in the Gila wilderness area of southern Arizona and is only sourced from this location. This stone is named after the Appaloosa horse, known for its white and spotted coat.

This piece is wrapped in sterling silver wire with a twisted texture. In this listing you may choose to purchase the pendant alone or add the chain shown in the pictures. This is a sterling silver, rope chain with a length of 18" adjustable up to 20". A smokey quartz bead accents the end of the extension chain.
